Hawak kamay, di kita iiwan sa paglakbay. HAWAK KAMAY, Cebu South Medical Center’s HIV Treatment Clinic was established last 2018. Our team of dedicated professionals, including infectious diseases specialists, has grown as the hospital evolved into a tertiary institution to meet the growing demands of our community. We initially accepted a small number of PLHIV patients. However, as technology advanced and our clinic's capabilities expanded, an increasing number of patients sought refuge in our comprehensive services.

Our vision is to broaden our reach by engaging more patients and encouraging active participation among members and staff. We hope to improve accessibility through innovative technologies, making our services more accessible to those in need. HAWAK KAMAY envisions a healthcare system that is both efficient and approachable. Our goal goes beyond simple treatment. We envision a network that works with other healthcare institutions to relieve the strain of patient volumes while maintaining quality care.

Enter the world of HAWAK KAMAY, where we provide a full range of HIV services, including testing, pre and post-test counseling, treatment, and ongoing monitoring. Our future vision includes expanding our reach into underserved rural communities and disseminating critical HIV information to those who do not have access to it. Prioritizing awareness, we aim to empower through education.
Dr. Annabel M. Laranjo
Dr. Laranjo is an adult infectious disease specialist heading and leading the "HAWAK KAMAY" Cebu South Medical Center treatment hub. She and her team are willing to listen, manage and support all of their clients in every way they can. She believes that together they can manage, control and prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Prevention is said to be better than cure. She hopes to be able to serve and help PLHIV when they come to the hub.
